Scopes
I would like to elaborate more on Web 2.0, emerging dynamics and interactions of online communities, web services, and mobile Internet. Selected articles will serve as our core course materials.
Grading Policy
Participation (Presence, Challenging and Answers, & Oral Presentations) 60%,
Homework 40%
Style
Our class is more of a conversation and dialogue than a lecture.

研究生的日子不會是大多人願意過的！可以想像那種假期變少，娛樂變少的日子，讀論文的頻率逐漸像是看漫畫，善用思考變成ㄧ種慣性，成為ㄧ種反射本能的樣態。
如果你只是用兩年來換取學位，那研究生涯將會是人生旅程中的一場惡夢。
研究生不是來實驗室等候分發工作。如果你只等候教授給你指令，我可以保證讀研究所只是浪費兩年時間。
如果你愛好了解事理，喜歡通達透徹，遇到問題就想弄清楚的個性，恭喜你，研究生涯會變成你所熱愛的。
除此之外，想一想，外面的世界正在發生什麼?事情 你有沒有想做什麼? 你想學什麼? 想不想嘗試自己來安排看看。
時時與教授主動討論，在心態上先 open mind，最重要的ㄧ件事 : THINK。
seminar 坐著聽不問問題，別人的論文不想批評，這不是研究所同學的相處之道。我是你的好朋友，可是我還是要說你的投影片不怎麼樣。
練習說出你的意見，開啟對話，講真話，參與對話。

你們的美好人格特質
今天晚上Lab聚餐，老師覺得最高興的不是你們考取哪個研究所，入圍哪個比賽，發表幾篇期刊論文，這些都只是個人榮耀，而是我看到你們參與精障就輔，非營利組織，社區服務，兼具同情，關懷，慈悲以及社會責任的美好人格特質，ㄧ種從Me進化到 We 地大格局思維，不再去計較考幾分，讀哪裡，賺幾十K的畫地自限。
我ㄧ直認為大學教育是大人的教育，大學是心靈從繭蛹蛻變，自我鬆綁自然伸展的成長場所，斤斤計較，精於算計地不是大學教育的目標，看到一些人從小被教育要出人頭地，出類拔萃，日後卻過著自私漠視他人，疏離的社會生活，無論對個人對社會都沒有益處。
與社群連結，主動伸出雙手去連結社會，給自己留ㄧ段時間做義工，哪怕只是一點時間，時時想到幫助別人，不要用等我長大當做藉口，每個人都可以根據能力，做一些事情。

還需要科技救贖嗎
近年來日韓提出cyberKorea, u-Japan，台灣也不落人後的先後提出e-Taiwan, m-Taiwan, u-Taiwan，歐美的思維較為不同，政府並沒有如此大規模的扮演科技推手的動作，事實上，也沒有必要，Google, Youtube, Flickr, SecondLife 沒有ㄧ樣需要政府來推動，已經執世界牛耳。
最近一次服務業創新的研討會，講者大聲疾呼我們需要發揮創意創造高感度的人性空間，針對老年人發展智慧型照護空間，其中舉例提到電子寵物，透過遠距技術關懷居家老人等等。
科技已經創造的問題，居然要用科技來救贖? 這是令人難以理解的。
舉例來說，為什麼遠距教學難以推動，被譏為冷冰冰的教學科技，因為學生的好奇心如何鼓勵，學習的熱情如何點燃這些研究議題比科技本身還要重要，如果不談學生的好奇心與自動自發的熱情，談遠距教育無異於緣木求魚。
同樣地，今日台灣獨居老人數字迅速爬升，老人需要的是有人味的關懷，不是這些e-Doctor, e-Nurse 擬人化的模擬科技。現代人普遍的空虛感，不少都是科技之賜，今日如果要用娛樂科技與電子寵物撫慰心靈，不正如引鴆止渴嗎?
科技本身不是問題，人才是問題所在，解決問題也應該從人去思考，怎麼可以避開這個議題，希望藉由更多的科技解決過去因為過於重視科技忽略人性所創造出來的問題?
